Tweak of the week
Tweak #31 - april 24, 2002
When you edit text in Windows, a caret indicates the position in the text where you are editing.
By default, this caret is only one pixel wide.
If you sometimes have difficulties finding the caret back, this tweak can help you.
Go to the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
In this key, look for the following value:
CaretWidth
If the value doesn't exist, create it as a REG_DWORD value.
Set this value to the number of pixels you want. A good value is 2. The default value is 1.
The new value will only take effect after you restart the computer or log off.
